Now that summer has finally arrived and everything is green and blooming in the capital, we are again bringing you interesting news and selected items from Berlin's calendar of events. Be inspired by our newsletter and come visit us in Europe's greenest capital. Starting immediately, we will now be presenting the latest news from the Kurfürstendamm and its surroundings in our newsletter.

DMY International Design Festival
Vom 05. bis 09. Juni 2013 am Flughafen Tempelhof
Auf dieser Plattform für internationales Design werden jährlich neue Produkte, Prototypen und experimentelle Konzepte rund um das Thema Industrie- und Produktdesign vorgestellt. Etwa 400 junge, sowie renommierte Designer aus aller Welt, zeigen auf 11.000 Quadratmetern Neues und Kommendes für unseren Alltag. Sie geben dabei Einblick in gegenwärtige Designproduktionen, weisen auf neue Tendenzen hin oder zeigen aufkommende Strömungen.
DMY International Design Festival
From 5. to 9. June 2013 at Tempelhof Airport
At this platform for international design, new products, prototypes, and experimental concepts for industrial and product design are presented every year. On 11,000 square meters, some 400 young and renowned designers from all over the world show the new things that will be coming into our daily lives. They give insights into contemporary design productions, point out new tendencies, or show future trends.

Citadell Music Festival 2013
Vom 05. Juni bis 30. August 2013 in der Zitadelle Spandau
Von Rock bis Rap bietet das Citadell Music Festival für jeden Musikgeschmack das Richtige. Den ganzen Sommer lang finden in einer der schönsten Open Air Locations in Berlin viele Konzerte namhafter Künstler statt. Direkt an der Havel gelegen, erleben Sie in der Zitadelle Spandau Größen wie ZZ Top, Queens of the Stoneage oder XAVAS.
Citadel Music Festival 2013

From rock to rap, the Citadel Music Festival has something for every taste in music. All summer long, concerts by many renowned artists will be held at one of the most beautiful open-air venues in Berlin. At Spandau Citadel right on the River Havel, you can experience stars such as ZZ Top, Queens of the Stone Age, or XAVAS.

Museum Berggrün
Dauerausstellung
Am 16. März 2013 ist das Museum Berggrün in einer erweiterten Form wiedereröffnet worden. Das Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaute, klassizistische Gebäude beherbergt einen der beeindruckendsten Bestände an Werken von Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Klee und Alberto Giacometti und gehört so zu den wichtigsten Standorten der Klassischen Moderne in Berlin.
Derzeit bietet es die Dauerausstellung "Picasso und seine Zeit".
Berggruen Museum
Permanent Exhibition
Since 16 March 2013, the enlarged Berggruen Museum has reopened. The neo-classical structure built in the middle of the 19th century houses one of the most impressive collections of works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Klee, and Alberto Giacometti, making it one of the most important sites in Berlin for classical modern.
It currently has the permanent exhibition "Picasso and His Times".

Neues vom Ku`damm und nebenan
In Berlin hat im Mai einer der vielbesuchten Apple Stores eröffnet - Apples größtes Kundenbetreuungscenter europaweit. Wie von Apple zu erwarten war, befindet sich das Ladengeschäft rund um die mobilen Highlights der Marke mit dem Apfel in einer Top Location. Die denkmalgeschützte, ehemalige Filmbühne Wien dient nicht nur als Verkaufsfläche, sondern soll nach dem Willen von Apple eine Touristenattraktion als Konzertraum und für kulturelle Events werden. Die 200 Mitarbeiter im Store sprechen übrigens insgesamt zwölf Sprachen.

Recently one of the frequently visited Apple stores opened in Berlin. Berlin now has the largest Apple customer support center in Europe. As you would expect from Apple, the store with all the mobile highlights of the Apple brand is in a top location. The historical landmark building of the former Filmbühne Wien is not merely a sales area; Apple hopes it will become a tourist attraction as a concert center and for cultural events. The store's 200 employees speak a total of twelve languages.
